   Are you an idiot or something?
   Have you seen every male southerner? I have seen many that don’t wear the straps.
   Also, learn to use a spell checker.

   every single male would be 100%, not 99%.

   What are southerns? Do you mean southerners? I am from the South, and I don’t wear a sunglass neck strap. So I guess your question is now irrelevant.

   not all people use the strapes but the one that do use them so thant if they are swiming or something they dont lose them. not to say i would use them, but they ar a good idea

   I’m from Texas, which is actually separate from the South and the ‘Southerns’ you mention (never met a southern), but I assume you may mean those redneck guys. I don’t even use one of those straps while riding my motorcycle, but for the guys that do use them, I would guess it is for the same reason that they put their own name on the back of their belt and the back glass of their trucks…so they won’t forget them somewhere.

   It is a sign that they want to look cool. Kind of like how those with the accent hold their mouth crooked like John Edwards does. No offense, just observation.
