If you like good sunglasses and you have the cash its not a problem. The issue is a lot of cheap sunglasses dont actually have any UV protection or they dont protect from both UV a and UV b rays. if you just want fashion then yeah pay $5. if you want both fashion and protection you will spend a bit more.

#1 sunglass hut is not the only place that sells expensive sunglasses.

#2 why are people who buy sunglasses over $100 considered idiots?

#3 I suppose I am one of them. My maui jim sunglasses that I have had for over 6 years, cost me $295 and are in prisitine condition and I have never had a broken lens, ever. They are the best sunglasses I have ever owned and have taken me through driving on long road trips in the sun, skiing, etc.
