orangecup asked: I recently bought a pair of brand name sunglasses on sale hoping to put prescription lens in it. It's a fairly normal plastic frame sunglass. But when I brought it to Lens Crafters, they told me those sunglasses you can't replace the lens! so my question is.... before I buy a pair of sunglass, how I can tell if the lens is replaceable or not?

Before you purchase frames ask your optometrist what types of frames would they be able to put prescription lenses into. Make sure you already have the names and makers of said frames and perhaps the items serial code number just to make things easier
As for the brand name sun glasses, just because Lens Crafters is unable to do it doesn’t mean that another optometrist cannot. They don’t all use the same lens shaper. Look around…
