Sunglasses will not protect your eyes from BB’s, I would not risk it. Sometimes a ricocheting BB may still have a lot of inertia left in it, which could cause serious damage to an eye. A human eye is very fragile and I would recommend that you wear specially designed shooting glasses, safety is always first and please shoot safely and practice safety.
IT IS SMART to wear safety glasses… but do not confuse that with SAFE.
A high pressure BB Gun could easily shatter your run of the mill safety glasses if hit dead on.
